East Anglia Apiaries began around 13 years ago in Ipswich, Suffolk, as a small beekeeping hobby. Since then, it has grown year by year into something much bigger, supported by people who share the same passion for bees, nature and producing exceptional local honey.
What started with a simple interest in beekeeping has developed into a commitment to protecting the natural environment, supporting pollinators and helping more people understand where their food comes from.
Our journey into beekeeping grew from a love of the outdoors, an interest in conservation and a belief in the principles behind the slow food movement.
Beekeeping brings all of these together. Healthy bees depend on healthy landscapes, diverse plants and responsible environmental management, while locally produced honey creates a direct connection between the beekeeper, the land and the people who enjoy it. For us, that connection matters.
We believe people should be able to understand how their food is produced, where it comes from and who is behind it.
By producing honey locally and working closely with our bees throughout the seasons, we aim to provide a more personal and transparent alternative to mass-produced honey.
Our focus is on responsible beekeeping, environmental awareness and producing high-quality honey in a way that respects both the bees and the landscape around them.
East Anglia Apiaries is about more than producing honey.
We actively encourage people to discover more about bees, pollination and the role beekeeping can play in supporting our natural environment.
Through our Bee Experiences, beekeeping courses, markets and community activities, we give people the opportunity to get closer to the world of bees and learn directly from the apiary.
To produce fantastic local honey, care responsibly for our bees and help build a stronger connection between people, food and the natural environment.
