The Yellow Legged (Asian) Hornet - a major threat to Honey bees and pollinators.

The Yellow legged hornet, otherwise known as the Asian hornet, is a highly aggressive invasive species that was first detected in the UK in 2016. Since then, there have been annual confirmed sightings of the yellow legged hornet and in 2023 the numbers rose sharply to more than the previous six years combined!

One Yellow legged hornet can eat 30-50 honey bees each day!
